Pre-Lab
Directions/Description: This week, we will begin our explorations of the study of kinematics (the study of how things move). Specifically, we will be looking at how to describe motion graphically. For your pre-lab, look at the simulation below. Feel free to play around with the simulation, but be sure to try these three scenarios:
1) Give the man a positive velocity and positive acceleration. 2) Give the man a positive velocity and zero acceleration (also called constant velocity, since it won't change). 3) Give the man a positive velocity and negative acceleration. For each scenario, note what the graphs look like. I will describe the simulation and the basics of the lab in the video right under this sentence. |
